The raw salt is fed into the hoppers by means of proper conveying system and fed into the wet mills along with the brine for size reduction and collected into the elutriation tanks and pumped into the various washing tanks, prime tanks and static thickeners. The slurry is fed into a pusher type centrifuge to extract the moisture and un-dried salt is then fed drying. The mother liquor collected from centrifuge is recycled into various tanks and impurities being discarded to the settling ponds and fresh brine is gradually added at various intervals. After drying, the salt is sieved and graded before being transferred into large storage silos. The refined salt is dozed with anti caking agents, free flowing agents and iodizing agents and conveyed to the packing section by means of distribution conveyors. The free flowing iodized salt is packed in different consumer packs by form fill seal machines and filled in 50kg bags, stored in hygienic warehouses.
